The 14th Governing Council of the College of Jos, Plateau State has approved the appointment of Prof. Tanko Ishaya as the new Vice-Chancellor for the College.
Abdullahi Abdullahi, Deputy Registrar, Details and Publications of the university, announced this in a assertion.
According to Abdullahi in the assertion in Jos on Friday, the development followed the Council’s consideration of the suggestion of the Joint Council and Senate Range Board at its Particular Meeting held on November 12.
He said that Ishaya’s appointment would get effect from December 1, incorporating that the appointment was for a single term of five years.
Ishaya, 57, is currently the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Educational of the university and a professor of Personal computer Science with a Mathematics background and specialism and knowledge in Facts Engineering, Laptop or computer Security and Forensics.
He acquired his B.Sc. in Mathematics Education and graduated with next Course Higher Division in 1992 at College of Jos and started operate as a lecturer in Mathematics office at the College of Agriculture, Zuru, Kebbi Point out.
