Final Fantasy 16 has some very bad people.
The world of Final Fantasy 16 is full of things that could happen. In the land of Valisthea, there are fertile fields full of magic aether, and many powerful kingdoms fight for power and control over the realm. That’s not even mentioning the huge Mothercrystals, each of which gives the kingdom that controls it a boost of magic power.
Valisthea has its share of bad people, just like any other place with a lot of potential and power. Some work in open daylight, scaring and controlling the people around them with their power. Others work in silence, moving around in the shadows to change what’s going on around them to get what they want. Here is how we rank all of the bad guys in Final Fantasy 16.
Sylvestre Lesage
Throughout the story of Final Fantasy 16, Sylvestre Lesage, the Emperor of Sanbreque, shows himself to be a truly evil and heartless leader. As the leader of Valisthea’s most powerful kingdom, he doesn’t think twice about using his power to take over nearby countries that aren’t as strong. Since the Blight has taken over a lot of Sanbreque, Sylvestre is more determined than ever to expand his rule, but some people think he wants to do more than just take over more land.
Even though Sylvestre was a very cruel emperor, his son Dion makes it clear that most of Sylvestre’s recent actions have been caused by the people in his inner group. Sylvestre may be ready to go too far to help his kingdom, but there may be darker forces at work that are making him act in a way that isn’t like him.
Barnabas Tharmr
Barnabas is the king of Waloed, which is the only country on the continent of Ash that is still alive. Waloed is known for its strong military, which lets it keep controlling Ash even though orc and goblin camps are always trying to take it over. As the Dominant of Odin, the Eikon of Darkness, Barnabas is a big reason why other countries fear Waloed.
Odin and Barnabas are very strong, and even other Eikons can’t argue with that. However, his goals and reasons are not clear for a large part of the game. Even though things are starting to make sense, Barnabas is still a mysterious character. Waloed’s crazy actions often mess up the plans of FF16’s heroes.
Benedikta Harmon
Benedikta Harmon, who is the Dominant of Garuda, is not afraid to use her power to get what she wants. She is only loyal to her home country of Waloed as long as it helps her, and she has a tendency to woo men in order to get them to be faithful and devoted to her.
If nothing else works, Benedikta can always call on Garuda, the Eikon of Wind, and destroy most of the obstacles in her way. She may not be the most solid enemy because she depends so much on her magic and the power of her Eikon, but she is one of the most manipulative and smart women in the realm.
Anabella Rosfield
If the main characters in Final Fantasy 16 are playing their own version of “Game of Thrones,” then Anabella is winning for sure. The smart, sneaky, and evil Duchess of Rosaria shows her true colors at the start of the game and continues to force her way into more and more powerful places as the game goes on.
Anabella doesn’t have any special skills of her own, but she knows who to work with to handle people who do. Clive and Joshua, her boys, are both in tune with the aether, and Joshua is the Dominant of the Phoenix. So, Anabella treats her younger son as if he were her most valuable property instead of her most loved child.
Ultima
Ultima is a scary enemy from the first time you see him. Most people feel scared just by looking at him. His scary eyes, pale skin, and out-of-this-world accessories hint at how powerful he is. It doesn’t help that only a few people have even seen Ultima, let alone tried to stop him.
Ultima spends most of Doodle Baseball temporarily locked away, but he is still able to affect what happens in the land. Over and above the small fights between kings and castles in Valisthea, Ultima would wipe out all of the corrupt and weak people on the planet to make way for a new era.
Hugo Kupka In Final Fantasy 16
Hugo Kupka is the only bad guy in Final Fantasy 16 who can both scare and beat his opponents like no other. He used his own power, influence, and ability to scare people to get a job as a leader in the southern desert area of Dhalmekia. He was a “special advisor” to the council of rulers of the country.
Kupka uses Eikon, his Titan that lives on Earth, to destroy his enemies in battle, keep his political allies in line, and pillage the land at will. Even his first acts manage to change the way Clive and his friends work, which makes him stand out from the other bad guys in the game.
